We hired Selective Designs to design and build a new backyard. The final result was a new two-level deck with a full covered roof, a large outdoor patio with a 45,000 gallon custom designed pool and new landscaping. Given the size of the project and the complexity – we prepared ourselves for the process. From start to finish it took 6 weeks! It wasn’t a rush job either – we had several days during the process get devoted to breaking down pavers or stonework that Shane felt needed to be redone (attention to quality was amazing).
What impressed us most in working with Shane and Selective designs was the quality of design (truly world-class) the attention to quality, and the quality and professionalism of his staff. So many times, you can encounter subs/groups of workers that are difficult to deal with – not with Selective Designs – the entire outfit is sharp, professional, and very good at what they do.
Our custom fireplace with water feature (rain curtain) is stunning! We routinely have at least 1 person per week knock on our door and compliment us on the back yard and ask to see it in detail – as they consider a similar project for their own home. These are our neighboors – and since the completion of our pool I know at least 4 others are underway.

Selective Designs designed and installed our pool over two years ago. They were very competitively priced and we were very happy with the end result! We have had no major problems and they were very attentive to the very small ones that did occur. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a pool or outdoor living area at their home.
Selective Designs has almost completed our new pool and outdoor living space.
It is a beautiful custom design by Shane LeBlanc, including a large travertine patio, a spa with three spillways into pool, a raised circular patio and a stream and waterfall into the pool with natural boulders. All work has been ontime, even coming in possibly 3- 4 weeks earlier than expected. The staff is wonderful, very knowledgeable and accommodating to changes we have made along the way. Their craftsmen are skilled professionals who are hard working and dedicated to perfection. We cannot wait to see the final product!!
